1. Click on “national debt to the penny” . What is the current “Total Public Debt Outstanding”?
2. Using “national debt to the penny“, explain the difference between public debt and intragovernmental holdings. (Hint: see the links immediately under “The Debt to the Penny and Who Holds It”)
3. Go to the national debt clock at this site. How do the numbers there compare to those at the previous site? (Make sure you write down a number from the clock!)
4. Explain how the national debt effects you and your family. Provide four different ways, citing at least 3 different sites. (Hint: go to Google and look up “effects of the national debt”)
5. Using AmosWEB, and explain the difference between progressive, proportional, and regressive taxes.
6. Go back to the national debt clock at this site and compare the number now to what you wrote down at the beginning of this assignment. (If they are not different, then hit refresh.)
